Inta Heimanis
Ms Inta Heimanis BA (Hons) Grad Dip Ed has worked in the public and tertiary education sectors for over twenty years, and has also worked in the private education sector. She has experience in workforce planning and research and the analysis of labour statistics. Her experience in tertiary education includes secretariat, faculty management, research management, project management and marketing and public relations.

Nitsa Athanassopoulos
Ms Nitsa Athanassopoulos has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree, is a registered psychologist, a professional member of the Career Development Association of Australia and a member of the National Association of Graduate Career Advisory Services. She has eighteen years experience working as a careers counsellor in a university setting and liaising with graduate employers.
Nitsa has previously worked in a wide range of fields encompassing staff selection and recruitment, staff training and development and health education. She manages the Career Development Team to provide career counselling, skills workshops and lectures, careers events and career education materials to meet the needs of current students and recent graduates of the University of Sydney.
Barbara Mackie
Barbara Mackie has a Bachelor of Education in Adult Education (HRD), Diploma in Project Management and a Graduate Diploma in Careers Education and Development and is a professional member of the Career Development Association of Australia and a member of the National Association of Graduate Career Advisory Services. With eight years experience in Career Counselling within the university sector, she conducts individual career sessions, workshops and faculty lectures in career education and development. Barbara is also experienced in designing, developing and managing a range of career events for students and recent graduates and works closely with graduate employers on guest presentations.
Barbara has a special interest in career management, assisting students to identify their skills, explore relevant career options and develop goals and action plans to develop their career. Barbara is an accredited practitioner of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® and the Belbin Team Roles.
Lucinda Crossley-Meates
Lucinda has over eight years experience in the tertiary education and employment industries. A graduate of the University of Sydney (BComm), her career spans working for an established private adult education college, recruitment agencies both in Sydney and London then operating government funded career programs for a not-for-profit agency.
Lucinda has worked as a qualified careers counsellor (GradDip Career Ed and Devt, RMIT) at The University of Sydney for 2 years and is a professional member of the National Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services. All her work to date has been with youth and young adults on career, education and life management issues, where she takes a particular interest in working with students to seek clarity with their ambitions and then motivating them to bring these ideas to life.
Natasha King
Natasha has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Fine Arts (UWA), a Graduate Certificate in Applied Cultural Heritage Studies (Curtin University) and a Diploma of Education (UNDA). After working in public art galleries for five years, Natasha changed careers to become a primary school teacher and then again to work in tertiary education in a range of teaching, academic support and advisory roles. Natasha has spent the last five years working in universities in Western Australia where her interest in careers advising started as a Prospective Student Advisor and then most recently as an Academic Student Advisor in the Faculty of Arts at UWA.
Natasha has a thorough knowledge of the university sector and a passion for enhancing the university student experience. Natasha is committed to assisting students to clarify their goals and focus on fulfilling career options. Natasha has a particular interest with careers in education and the arts.
Yvonne Soper
Yvonne Soper has a Bachelor of Human Movement (Sport Science), Graduate Diploma in Psychology, Master of Psychology and a Graduate Diploma in Career Counselling for Elite Performers, and is a professional member of the National Association of Graduate Career Advisory Services. Yvonne has seven years experience providing Career Counselling and Life Management support to elite and professional athletes. She has managed career and education programs at three sports institute, including the Australian Institute of Sport as well as managed the Career Training Scheme for professional Rugby Union.
Before working in sport, Yvonne worked for five years in the university sector as a Psychologist and International Student Advisor. She has also tutored and lectured in psychology within the university sector.
Yvonne is a registered Psychologist and is interested in career and life management, looking specifically at working with individuals to assist them to identify their career goals and how they can be achieved within a life integrated model.

Sarah Jones (Industry Development Manager)
Sarah Jones is responsible for co-ordinating and marketing all employer events on campus including careers fairs, employer presentations and other recruitment and profile-raising activities. She is first point of contact for recruiters looking to connect with University of Sydney students and is committed to assisting recruiters develop strategies to effectively promote their opportunities to University of Sydney students and graduates.
Sarah has a Bachelor of Arts (First-Class Honours) from the University of Sydney, is a University of Sydney PhD candidate and is a member of the National Association of Graduate Career Advisory Services. She has five years experience in tertiary education as a researcher and casual academic, and six years management experience in the private sector.
Sascha Jenkins (Industry Development Manager)
Sascha Jenkins has a PhD in history and first class history honours degree from the University of Sydney. She also has a Diploma in Business (Frontline Management) and is a member of the National Association of Graduate Career Advisory Services. Sascha has worked at the Careers Centre since 2000 in administration, student advice and counselling, and employer services. She also has experience as a freelance researcher, heritage counsultant and journalist.
Sascha currently job shares (Thursday and Friday) with Sarah Jones to manage the Industry Development Team; which is responsible for organising and marketing all employer events on campus including careers fairs, employer presentations and other recruitment and profile raising activities. From casual employers to global companies, she enjoys working closely with recruiters to help them develop strategies to effectively promote their opportunities to University of Sydney students and graduates.
Malcolm Ross
First point of contact for employers seeking to advertise employment opportunities. Mr Malcolm Ross (BA, Grad. Dip Museum Studies) has 15 years experience in helping 1000s of employers, and 1000s of students find 1000s of jobs while they study. He looked after the former Casual Employment Service database and now the Careers Centre’s. Malcolm loves to hear from students and employers about their experiences.
