Organizations with an ABN, and householders may advertise offers of part time, casual employment to current undergraduate and postgraduate University of Sydney students on the University’s intranet.
To advertise employers will need to submit an ad in email, .doc or pdf formats and should include:

* ABN (this will not appear on ads)
* Contact name / title for this ad:

* Householder's full name (for school tutoring, child care and other work at home)
* Street address (this will not appear on ads; a PO box address is unsuitable)

Ads that are more informative about the employer, job description and the selection criteria get better results. Please avoid using discriminatory language; refer to the NSW EEO website for information.
We are unable to screen applicants therefore ask to see their University of Sydney photographic student id card when interviewing.

Lodging Job Ads
Email ads to (best) or call 9351 8714 for assistance. When the ad goes online you will receive a confirmation email with a reference number and its initial expiry date.
Extending Job Ads
Employer feedback is required in order to display ads past the initial expiry date. Please respond to follow up emails or call this office to ensure that your ad continues to be seen.
Closing Job Ads
When your vacancy is filled email or call this office to withdraw the ad and please let us know the number of Sydney University students you employ from it; an estimate is welcome.

Research and Ethics Clearance
Advertisements for student volunteers for research projects are only accepted from researchers with University of Sydney Ethics Committee approval for their research project and the advertisement text that they wish the casual employment office to display.
Please forward your University of Sydney Ethics Committee Approval Reference
Number and the advertisement text to the Casual Employment Service. We will then refer this information to the Manager, Ethics Administration to confirm Ethics Committee approval and authorisation of the placement of the advertisement.
Advertisers are advised that authorisation from the University's Manager, Ethics Administration, is required before displaying any advertisement for recruitment of student volunteers by researchers whether from the University of Sydney, teaching hospitals, or other universities. Advertisements seeking research volunteers from other employers may also be referred to the Manager, Ethics Administration for comment.
Once authorisation is received from the Manager, Ethics Administration, your advertisement will be displayed on the casual employment job database
Please inform the Casual Employment Service as soon as you have recruited sufficient volunteers so the advertisement can be removed from the display. Please refer to the Human Ethics website for further information.
