Job advertising on the web
Post your job advertisement on the Your Careers Centre Database for maximum exposure. Students at the University of Sydney can view your ad, search all job ads and sign up for 'Job Alert', which emails students daily on the latest opportunities. There is no charge for advertising with the University of Sydney Careers Centre.
Advertising through the Careers Centre requires employers to agree to our advertising terms and conditions.
Due to legal requirements we are unable to advertise unpaid positions unless:
- the position fulfils part of a University curriculum, or
- it is a volunteer position with a not-for-profit organisation.

In order to submit your ad, log in to our database by clicking on the 'Employer Login' logo on the right-hand side of this page and then go to 'Job Ads'. If you have not yet registered on our database you can do so by clicking on the 'Employer Login' logo and then clicking on 'Request a new account'.
Advertisements are displayed for a maximum of two months. If your position is filled before this deadline you can login to the database and remove your ad.
Requirements
The University of Sydney Careers Centre requires the following information to be included in the job advertisement:
- Job title and description of duties
- Skills and experience required
- Hours to be worked (week day/ weekend) and degree of flexibility with regard to study timetables
- Location of the work
- Rate of pay ("award rate of pay" is sufficient) or other basis of payment. Visit the Office of Industrial Relations website for award rates or phone the help line on 131 628.
- How to apply details for applicants
- Closing date for applications
- Contact details including email, phone and fax (these are entered in a separate section and do not appear with the job advertisement, however they are required for office purposes).
