Paid internship programs
There are many programs that offer students paid employment opportunities. Larger organisations refer to these as 'internships' or 'preview' programs, and they allow students and companies to try each other out. For students they gain experience in an industry they are interested in and valuable life experience about working life. For employers they gain a keen employee to help on projects and office duties, with the potential of gaining a future full time employee.
Here are some examples of programs being around the University of Sydney, but there are many more that you can find through networking, professional associations and the Internship and Vacation Work Fair
