Paid internship programs

There are many programs that offer students paid employment opportunities. Larger organisations refer to these as 'internships' or 'preview' programs, and they allow students and companies to try each other out. For students they gain experience in an industry they are interested in and valuable life experience about working life. For employers they gain a keen employee to help on projects and office duties, with the potential of gaining a future full time employee.

AIESEC International

AIESEC is an international, student run organisation that aims to extend leadership skills and work experience, and can help you find paid internships while you study. Their partners include PricewaterhouseCoopers, Shell, HP, Cadbury Schweppes, General Electric and the federal Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations, as well as four thousand other organisations worldwide. The global exchange internship program includes management, technical, educational and developmental traineeships. Australian Publishers Association

The APA Publishing Internship program offers six month full-time placements in Australian Publishing companies for Australian residents with an interest in publishing.
