Graduate Recruitment
Each year a number of employers offer a Graduate Program. Students recruited into a Graduate Program are targeted for development, and are often supported by mentoring, coaching, leadership development, training and work rotations throughout the organisation.
The Graduate Recruitment drive commences in March, so don’t miss out! Click here to view the list of companies offering Graduate Programs this year.
Throughout the year graduate employers visit the campus, giving you the opportunity to learn more about their graduate program. It is important to attend the relevant Careers Fairs and Employer Presentations, and to come prepared with any questions you have about the organisation, the program and the application and selection process.
The Graduate Recruitment process is highly competitive as limited numbers of Graduate Program positions are offered. However, there are a number of things you can do to boost your chances of winning a graduate role:
- thoroughly research the list of graduate employers to be clear on who they are, what they do and why you want to work for them.
- get involved in activities that offer you the opportunity to develop and demonstrate the skills that graduate employers value, including: teamwork; leadership; communication skills; initiative; interpersonal skills and problem solving skills.
- carefully construct your resume and job application using professional wording and evidence your capabilities and suitability for the role.
Refer to the Increase Your Employability section for ideas on activities in which you can become involved.
